The subcontractor portal
For subs invited by a General Contractor, and for GCs who want to know exactly what their subs can and cannot reach.
What a sub sees
- Jobs. Only the jobs the GC put them on, each with the scope written for them. Never the client’s scope, never the GC’s prices, never another sub. That separation lives in the code behind every request the portal makes.
- Schedule. Their dates, which they can accept or decline.
- Bids. The work they have been invited to price.
- Insurance and W-9. Their own compliance file, and the place to upload a renewal before the GC ever has to chase it. The newest certificate on file is the current one.
- Payment requests. Ask to be paid; the request lands with the GC, and everything recorded rolls into the year’s 1099 total.
- Extra logins. Up to five viewer logins for the sub’s own foremen.
A sub login is free and never counts against the GC’s seats.
Getting set up as a sub
- The GC adds you in their Vendors tool, or you apply through their public vendor form.
- You get an email invitation; open it and set a password once.
- Upload your certificate of insurance and W-9 first. It is the thing every GC checks before putting you on a job, and the portal warns before your certificate lapses.
If it will not behave
I cannot see a job I was told about
You only see jobs you are assigned to. Ask the GC to add you on that job’s Subcontractors section.
My bid does not show on the comparison
Bids are recorded on the job by the GC. Send your number and they type it in; nothing is read out of an uploaded PDF on purpose.
